Editorial and corrections policy

robotaxistats publishes only figures from primary sources, dates every figure, logs every change in the changelog, and corrects errors on every page that uses them.

Sourcing standard

• Primary sources only: state and federal records and the company’s own publications.
• No figure is estimated by robotaxistats. Where a company publishes an estimate, it is labelled as one.
• Where primary sources disagree, the page shows the range and names both sources.
• Every figure shows the date it is “as of” and links to its source list.

Updates

Data is checked against sources and the site is rebuilt when a source changes. Each page shows when it was last updated, and every dated change is logged in the changelog (also as an Atom feed).

Corrections

When a figure is wrong, it is corrected on every page that uses it, and the correction is logged in the changelog with the date and what changed. To report an error, email [email protected] with the page and the primary source.

Terms used

Live: open to riders, no one in the driver’s seat. Supervised: riders carried with a safety driver or operator. Rolling out: riders added gradually. Testing: employees or early riders only. Coming soon: announced, not yet carrying riders. Registered or permitted is not operating.
