How robotaxistats collects, dates, and labels every number.

Primary sources only

Every figure comes from a state record (Texas DMV, California DMV, Arizona DOT, California PUC) or from the company’s own publications (safety reports, FAQs, blogs, press releases) and those of its ride-hail partners. We do not use estimates, news reports, or other trackers. When primary sources disagree, the tracker shows the range and both sources under “Where numbers differ”.

As-of dates

Each number carries the date its source states, not the date we read it. The page-level date (currently Oct 22, 2026) is when the dataset was last checked; the full data was last updated 2026-10-22 23:47 ET.

What the labels mean

Live: open to riders with no one in the driver’s seat.
Supervised: carrying riders with a safety driver or operator on board.
Rolling out: driverless, riders added gradually.
Testing: employees, family, friends, or other early riders only, or on-road testing.
Coming soon: announced by the company, not yet available.
—: not disclosed by the company or state.

Places

Each place has one name. Bay Area listings (San Francisco, SF Bay Area) appear as San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Dallas and Arlington listings appear together as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX, and the Arlington row is marked.

Data and license

All data is in /data/tracker.json and licensed CC BY 4.0. City changes are published as Atom feeds, one per city page.
